I miss holding you when you were cold. I miss kissing you when you were lonely.I miss the love we shared. And I wish I cold be there when the troops return. I wish I could run to your arms like other marines do when the return to their loved ones. But it looks like i wont be seeing you when I return home. My heart is wounded from missing you. My body is wounded from bullets. I'm stuck in the middle of this war. hiding from over three hundred thousand enemy soldiers. Bombs falling from planes like rain. the smoke turns the clouds from white to black the sky from blue to grey. Fire power lights up the sky while guys like me fight on the ground dodging bombs and hopefully bullets trying to stay alive hoping that the enemy doesnt launch a warhead on the battlefield. Its Armageddon here. War was the only solution. No one wanted to talk, negotiate, or sign treaties of peace. So the result of their unwillingness to not compromise for peace is war. I just wanted you to know that this is how it is over here and I love you so much. But if I didnt do this your freedom would be lost. Got to go now honey.
