Growing Up

by Imogen   Apr 6, 2006

The childhood innocence is blemished by knowledge of age.
Complexity weaves its way into the simplicity.
Worries and problems inch their way into he care-free life we once knew.
As we know more, we wish we didn't; as the awareness of adulthood makes the world a harsher place.
Responsibilities take over the games we used to play.
The need to act mature begins to over-shadow the need to have fun.
The rules of society inhabit and control our lives.
Life becomes more and more unsure of itself, and we of it.
We don't know what to do any more. The only thing we can do is to keep on going and never look back.
