South of Nowhere

by glass*wall*prison   Apr 6, 2006

I'm from a little place,
called "south of Nowhere."
A relaxed ghost town
where I live without a care.

It's not a any map.
Its location is secretly concealed.
A place under construction,
foundation of dreams for me to build.

From just "south of Nowhere"
I can move up an on.
And maybe reach "north of somwhere"
where just like that my dreams are gone.

So, i'll catch the earliest express
back to my one horse town.
TO build a better stucture
that won't be so easily knocked down.

And I'll try it again
bid my farewell
kiss the ones i love
and step back into hell.

from just "south of Nowhere"
packing blood, sweat , and tears.
To try and reach "north of Somewhere"
but it's just as i feared.

i fell short of the glory
i fell short of the gold
with youth goes your dreams
and im getting old.

BAck to my hometown
of torn and battered things
every stucture had crumbled
and with them went my dreams.

Ill probably delete this one. Revise and re-post need some feedback on it though....

I like the idea of 'south of nowhere' and 'north of somewhere' its a good contrast, but i agree this poem could do with a bit of work.
