Dreaming of a painful lullaby

She sits there in silence
her eyes filled with tears
all her hopes and dreams clashes with her fears

her mind starts to wonder how it might have been
if everything had a different story end

the tales have gotten old to the point where she doesn't sleep
only when the pain is strong does she begin to weep

the silence grows stronger till its to painful to bare
as the blade slides in and feels the pain she really doesn't care

the incredible pain you cant imagine what shes going through
a heart thats been broken, completely torn in two

overwhelmed in the blood as it begins to descend
she begins to feel cold and know its about to end

the life she once knew is not what it may have seemed
but a lie that was living that she began to feed

as she lays there in sobs holding on so tight
to the husband that she lost in such a terrible fight

he died defending her in a painful lullaby
she held onto him close and sadly said goodbye
