I guess I was a player in your game

To not give my heart away, to stand strong

I've got my heart, though broke it's still mine
And while you WERE in it, you're not any more
I just want to forget you
And shut the door

You go out of your way to hurt me
And though it hurts, I'll never let you see
You'll never know how much I liked you
And ultimately, you'll never know me

The blood will wash away, my hurt will ease
And in the morning, I may wish you were here
But I'll never let you know, you'll never see
Because every time I cry, I cry a silent tear
