Love is Patient: Part III

by Poetvoices   Apr 7, 2006

She woke up slowly
to the crisp spring air.
Her hair was a mess.
What a nightmare!

The goosebumps carried over
from the psychic night
that had filled her heart
with such life-like fright.

In life, she'll do it right.
No tragic end.
Today, and any other, she'll reject the guy
she meets through a friend.

A bitter-sweet omen
in the form of a dream
can prove that some things
are JUST what they seem.
