Whose game?

by Mark   Apr 7, 2006

Your game is now,
Come out and play,
I stand and bow,
And watch you pray.

You pray to god,
For the best,
I see you nod,
To the rest.

I wait for the bell,
That ring that starts,
Waiting like hell,
I'll throw some darts.

I want this over,
Over and done already,
It's like red rover,
I have to be steady.

The bell goes off,
The games have begun,
As I hide in a trough,
This is no fun.

I run and fight,
I'm going to win,
There is no light,
My swords so thin.

I shall never give up,
Fight until the end,
I shall live up,
As your blade can bend.

I fight strong,
I stay in the game,
I'm not wrong,
I'm going through pain.

I take one swing,
A swing to your neck,
Then I hear the ding,
Good god, oh heck.

You are on the ground,
Blood dripping out,
I hear cheers all round,
I try to stand, and I pout.

Being cheered for,
The crowd loves me,
For I am wanting more,
So let it be.
