Bitter Sweet

The shaking in my bones
The goosebumps on my skin
The pounding of my delicate heart
How did this all start?

I look around and wonder....
could this be?
Is this really me?

The girl who closed her heart and sealed it with protection
only to discover she wanted to make an exception
love...lust...or mere affection.

lost in her thoughts
wondering about what is rite
confused about whats wrong, or how shed put up a fite.

will this be a memory.. another picture sealed in her mind
how come shes so happy, so excited yet she feels she has to be confined

she realizes shes bedazzled yet confused
writing on paper how shes worryin about her emotions being abused

Over and over she remembers being mislead.
n she promised herself to be strong, thats always what was said.

so she refuses to give in...shes holdin back for something shes waited for
but theres something amazing in front of her letting her question more and more....

Knowing its someones heart thats in the palm of her hands waiting
because she cares for him, its not fair to keep debating

He changed the little flaws within this girl
not knowing she would 1 day become his world.
She didnt know shed fall for her friend
she thought it'd stay that way begining to the end

However, she notices more and more he\'s everything shes ever dreamed for
he reached into the depths of her heart n chose what he wanted to explore
she tried to figure it out, what did she want...was this her dream...still unsure.

He helped her whenever she took the slightest fall
He gave her his everything, he gave her his all

When she was so scared, to even open her eyes he was her protector
he promised to never let anything affect her

Because of him, her smiles came from within
because of him he showed her the good underneath her skin

because of him her eyes had a sparkle that began to shine
he showed her the way to certain things she could never define

when she was in doubt, he gave her faith and hope
he told her she had the unbreakable strength to cope

Because of him she discovered things she didnt know
when she felt alone he told her he loved her mucho.

He was sweet, smart,kind and defintely worthwhile
she slowly realized she was liking his style.

And as much as she wanted to let her heart go
and never ever question about saying no

Was this her fantasy?
because it seemed too sweet to be reality

so she decides....

that although it was true
she cudnt stop thinking about him even if she tried to.

she\'d have to take a step back n seal everything for a while
cuz she didnt want to hurt him shed never wana tear apart his smile

because she liked him the way she did, she knew...
what the something was that she had to do

it was unfair to her and to him to look at it with no doubt
she knew she had to hold it out

given the circumstance she faced of knowing its not somethin that would last
she had to get beyond it and put it in her past

knowing what was between them was hopless
it had the same chance as life had of never changing

yet the truth is everything comes and goes even if you prayed
theyre all just another bitter/sweet memory left to fade
