Downfall Of Imperfection

by Sarah Ann   Apr 8, 2006

Dear God, my sky is falling,
And I'm stuck on this ground
But no I cannot see escape,
Or move myself around.

I want to run away from here,
From the rain that drains my soul
From the cloudy storms that steal my mind,
And the shadows in which I fall

Help me leave the crooked road,
For the gravel cuts my skin
I need to strive on smoother paths,
Refrain from this fork that I stand in

Give me the boost I need to walk
To the stairs up to your throne,
Dear God I'm begging for your wings
I cannot fly out on my own

I liked the imagery and it did have some kind of beat to it, like a mini song.

Very well written - excellent image of need above want. I really liked it . . .

    Peace. [Sole]
