It's all about the cutting
it's all you ever see
you don't look beyond it
to see what is troubling me.

You see me causing myself pain
you see my tears pour down like rain
but you don't look inside
to see what I am having to hide.

The depression is too deep
this life is not mine to keep
it is only on a loan
and I find myself so very far from home.

You don't see what I'm feeling
how my world is reeling
you can't even see past the scars
to see why I am locked behind my bars.

You see the walls build around me
but open your eyes and see
look a little deeper
look and see me!

I am not just a cutter,
I'm really not insane
I'm just a heartbroken girl
who is driven by deep internal pain.

Look passed my mask
to see the real deal
open your eyes and look
for what I really feel.
