Guilty Ignorance.

by anonymous   Apr 8, 2006

They walk past her in the library,
look right through her in the hall.
they all become instantly deaf,
when she tried to yell or call.

they ignore her the whole year,
and each new one that comes.
they don't know each new semester,
she come a little bit undone.

but when they need help or advice,
all of a sudden shes so great.
but how come she isn't invited to parties?
and never asked out on dates.

but everyday she went out of her way,
to help out her so called 'friends'
maybe people would have been different
if they had predicted the end

see one night she got a little to lonely,
she went out to find herself some fun.
when someone grabbed her from behind,
she had no chance to fight back or run.

that night this girl was brutally raped,
but no one believed in what she said.
and because people were so small minded,
this beautiful girl wanted to be dead.

one night her room mate came into their room,
found the girl hanging by a rope.
her head hung by her side lamely,
attached to her chest was a note.

for the first time in my life i asked people for help,
but no one seemed to listen or to care.
but i want you all to remember one thing,
when you called i was ALWAYS there.

for the rest of your entire lives,
you will live with the guilt of what happened to me.
maybe then will you actually care,
too bad i wont be around to see..
