I Wish I Could Tell You

by JL   Apr 8, 2006

My birthday is in a few months
I'll no longer be 'sweet' sixteen
Before your death
Everything this would mean

On that special day
I'll have a birthday wish
I wish before you'd died
I would have had a goodbye kiss

I wish I would have known
That was your last day
So you'd know I love you
However, I never got to say...

I thought I'd have forever
To say sorry for our fights
Hug and makeup
But your life was cut short that night

I never got the chance
To say you were my best friend
All too soon
Your life came to an end

JL- I am terribly sorry for your lose...There is no greater pain then losing someone you truly love and care for. There is no greater pain then not being able to say goodbye...I am so sorry my friend...Like Kaylee said you will meet again. Yes life will probably suck for a while because each person in your life can not be replaced, but you have got to believe...This person who has passed (God rest their soul) I'm sure they'd want you happy, want you to cheer up, want you to go on living saying "This will not bring me down nor change my dreams" ...Live with that person in your heart...I love this peice JL and I think your an awesome writer and do a great job getting your feelings out on paper!
With love and a high five,

Ever hear the Kenny Chesney song: Who You'd Be Today. There's a line in it that's true I think and that is: I know, I'll see you again someday.

This poem was more emotional and if it's true then I'm really sorry. Organization is great though. And there's advice in your poem if people will notice and to me it says, "Don't waste a minute."
