It never should have been.........

Knowledge is a burden, Ignorance is bliss,
when the meaning was discovered, behind that fateful kiss.
When we realized all the boundaries that we had tried to lay,
could so quickly be forgotten, consumed and thrown away.
A sideways glance, a racing heart, wrenching, anguished desire.
Giving into this temptation has only flamed the fire.
We wake, we walk, we breathe, we yearn, we go about our day.
The casual words which pass our lips
hide what we want to say.
It cannot be expressed the pain endured to live this lie....and yet to give this passion up, a part of us would die.
I lay in bed and watch the sky, as night turns into day, and curse the soul which lets me love my best friend's fiancee.
