I AM THE DARKNESS

by Brooke Mason   Apr 8, 2006

Inside me there is a prescence
a prescence most dark and menacing
There's no point in trying to rid myself of it
because it is a part of who I am
I am the darkness

For me there is no trace of happiness
lingering in my swollen eyes
Only tears trickle down my face
and the whispering of night in my ear
I am the darkness

I feel sorrow, anger, and hate
No love, kindness, no warmth at all
My heart is too cold to feel such things
and my mind is far too vast
I am the darkness

Forget about trying to love me
Forget about trying to understand
Whether you like it or not, it's who I am
This is what I am, who I am
I AM THE DARKNESS

Interesting concept, maybe not exporled to it's full potential but still a very good peice of writting. good flow and content and holds the attention of the reader well
