Ceased

Tonight; a bliss, a stream of passing winter,
tomorrow a new life's promise, the coming of spring.
I sailed through vast waters some drowned me with strength,
some let me float through the rivers, and I eased my soul on the banks.
Tonight, a new hope springs from the earth,
and tomorrow, a chance to redeem what was promised at birth.
But tonight, I lay afraid for tomorrow may be a war;
war for a life, war for a world I've yet just dreamed so far.
What the beating of one's heart tries to teach a broken thief,
what the weary world shows when we blink so deep yet brief, what the wonder Abbah has shown, no one can full understand, what a life so yet to be grown you now hold in your hand.
So great you monstrous creation you have power in your soul, yet the power you've been given you have used to control.
Slaves we are not of any driving force but His, like love we have become His reason for all these.

Tonight a new hope springs from the most downtrodden heart,
tomorrow new life will come and we will save that lost art!
