When I get there

by *Amanda*   Apr 9, 2006

You may think that,
I'll never think of last night again, you may think that
I'm ok with losing him as a friend...
You may think that I enjoy doing all the things I do but,
If you think all of these things well I need to talk with you, because
You need to remember that
I'm some daddy's little girl and
You need to remember that one day I was
Somebody else's whole world and
That there are days that I regret a couple of things that I have done and
There's so much of the devil in me that I just gave up
So he has one.
You may think that there's no hope for me, and the second that I get a chance
I won't break free because
Really I'm just running in circles everyday
Watching you waiting for me to fall
Waiting for me to break and,
That's the exact reason why I won't give up or give in
Because I can't let you tell me that you win and
I'll always do these things that I do
Tell me, how does it feel to know that people love you?
Because it's a feeling that I lost some time ago and
All I am is just this big disappointment,
Don't act like I don't know.
There's all these faces and all these lies
All of these reasons for loved ones to cry and
I just wish that you could see
The subtle, softer, sweeter side of me, but
I'm too scarred and hurt to show anybody who I am
So I just put on this tough-girl-attitude
Like I always have.
You see me in the corner with a bottle or a smoke
You look at me with your high class friends like
I'm some kind of joke.
So you may think that I'm the one
Who's on my way to hell
But you judge, and that's a sin too
So I'll see you when I get there.
