Eyes of Jewels

by {Miss} [A][L][L][I][S][O][N]   Apr 9, 2006

Your eyes are so green, I used to tell you
That they were emeralds
Wrapped around your pupils.

You used to say, my eyes were so blue
They were really sapphires
That hid in my eyes
Because if they didn't
Someone might steal them.

When we kissed,
I shut my eyes tight
So you wouldn't be tempted
To steal
My sapphires.

But now, we can't even look
Into each other's
Eyes of jewels
Because the pain,
It's just to great.

Sometimes, I can't help but think
That when you left
You robbed my eyes
Of their sapphires.
