I wish I could say you've been there for me
Through the bad times and the good
But that would just be a lie
and the truth is it wouldn't end the way it should

I've had so much pain in my heart
From the finish back to the start
I hated you for all the lies
you told my family and made us cry

Where were you all those years
when I was young and need you most
It's like you weren't there
Like some kind of ghost

Do you know what is sad I have to say
Is all the timeyou spent away
Drinking beer and doing drugs
Do you seriously want to end up like all those thugs

You have alittle girl who is 4 years old
Who doesn't believe what she's being told
That she has a Dad not far away
Who doesn't wish to come and stay

So the next time someone asks you hows your family
Tell the truth and say you don't know
B/c you haven't taken the time to see they really are happy.....
without you.
