Why do we live?

Life starts as soon as it ends,
you are born,
and then you die,
why is life worth living if all we do is die,
why does this happen its all a waste of time,
or so they thought,
life may only last a few moments,
a few moments in the ages of man,
but yet despite all that is forgotten,
one thing lasts forever in you,
it does not die,
it lives on in you and in others after you pass away,
that object is love,
love of someone who makes every moment with them last forever,
Romeo and Juliet,
forbidden love,
but yet a love that lasted forever,
forever till it killed them both,
yet within the wisp of time they lived,
they had a love that would live forever,
your heart they say eventually disappears when you die,
incorrect,
when you give you heart to someone,
this special someone holds on to it,
and love will live on forever,
love can take you to places you never thought possible,
love will make time stand still,
thus that is why life is worth its few brief moments on earth...
