You

by Jeremy Edmondson   Apr 10, 2006

You
You are a story.
One with a great plot, it’s only the ending I would fix.
You are a castle.
One with stone wall and high elegant towers, not even the strongest ammunition can pierce.
You are a sea.
One that I can see strait to the bottom of and one with calm waters.
You are a layer of skin.
One that gives off an aura of the most beautiful kind.
You are a blanket.
You keep me warm to the bone.
You are a bridge.
You give me confidence to cross the most rapid rivers.
You are a flower.
A most rare find in a bed of weeds.
You are a plane.
One that keeps my heart in the air and gives it reason to skip.
You are shelter.
One that I take when the rain falls and the tempests knock.
You are a breath of air.
The last I will take, one that will sustain me like oxygen can not.
You are blood.
Giving me a substance to live by.
You are a motion picture.
One that moves too fast for anyone to understand.
You are a hand drawn master piece.
A picture of a summer day, sunny and warm.
You are eyes.
A pair that understand me and see through my lies and look drawn by god years before your birth.
You are speech.
The reason I no longer speak English.
You are truth.
That is why I never lie.
You are passion
The reason I do everything to my fullest ability.
You are a sunrise.
One I would never miss.
You are a night sky.
One filled with heavenly bodies.
You are purity.
That is why I live with no mistake.
You are love.
That is why I will never have you fully.
You are a dream.
That is why I sleep.
You are a song
An album gone platinum before it is ever heard.
You are a drug.
One I will die addicted to.
You are an angel.
One that opens the gates to heaven for me daily.
You are you.
Someone I will always remember.
