Who is this stranger
Who just walked into my heart.
How did he find his way,
When it's all broken apart?
He just swept his way in
With his never-ending charm
Isn't this what happened before,
Shouldn't I be alarmed?
He just snuck his way
Into my tender loving care
I wasn't expecting any visitors,
It's men I mostly scare.
I've known him awhile, you see.
But he looked over at me yesterday,
And the next thing I knew,
I was again giving my heart away.
It wasn't too long
Since I got it back last time.
It took me forever to fix it,
And another forever to say I'm fine.
I just put the pieces back together,
How could I have been so stupid?
As soon as the last piece was in place,
Again, who shows up...but Cupid!
He turned into my enemy
After our last meeting
He sent me to someone who broke my heart,
And then just left me weeping.
This new guy now holds my heart.
Let's see how well he takes care of it.
Will he handle it like someone else we know,
I hope not, I won't be able to handle it.
