Racism, oh why?

by Alijah   Apr 11, 2006

These narrow minded people
Judging by one's skin
They mock their neighbors
They insult their own kin

We all fought for our rights
And eventually won
Yet some still teach racism
To their daughter and son

There is no longer slavery
Over our heart, body, and mind
Yet some are still so ignorant
Some are still so blind

Race is nothing;
A figment of your imagination
Oh, how I wish
Racism was only a hallucination

No matter where you are,
Whether here or across the seas
To make beautiful music,
One must play both the black and white keys.
