When I was small,
She left me all alone.
Around me they all wept,
Around me they all moaned.
The first time I felt it,
Being left behind.
My tears fell in silence,
Thinking soon I'll be fine.
As now to my horror,
My scars are still fresh.
I still dream of her,
Right there in the flesh.
But I'm reminded of reality
Her tombstone which still stand,
The still broken child,
The never held hand.
