Barbed Wire Fences

by Spoken Silence   Apr 11, 2006

Barbed wire fences have surrounded my soul
scarring my tattered spirit
as it strives for freedom from emotional confinement
bound by the key master to the dungeon of my nightmares
lost in the horrid depths of my tortured mind
the voice of my keeper is the melody to my sorrow
a shrieking augmentation which pierces the heart

Woot!!! First comment. I really like this one. You conveyed a feeling of utter lonliness really well. So far, this is my favorite. Very short but very good.
