A Sepulchre

by Momentary Relapse   Apr 11, 2006

The sepulchre has lain undisturbed
Time itself never stole across
The stone columns grace the tomb
Solemn marble seraphs stand watch
A velvet lined casket forever closed
With silken appearance of a facade
Dedicated to the memory of the dead
Silence blankets the vaulted ceiling
Cherubs dance at the base as overhead
The seraphs sing sorrowful lamentations
Inside the cadaverous figure moves
Soul rending passion bubbles within
A hunger pang gnaws sending waves
Upward moving he climbs out
The world has been encased in black
A plague upon mortal kind unleashed
He lives again to feed at night
Only to return to the tomb in day

    Not so great.
I think it felt somewhat emotionless and like your trying to make it feel deep and dark but it just seem over worked.
    On your way though.
