An Injury

A twist of the knee
A fall to the ground
Never will I forget that horrible sound

Screaming in pain
Crying in fright
To the emergency room, I went that night

They gave me krutches and sent me along
Since even the xrays couldnt tell what was wrong

At the doctors I went the next day
A dislocated knee-cap is what I heard the doctor say
It was required that I get painful surgery
In order to mend my broken knee

I couldn\'t believe that for me bball had come to an end
Physical therapy is what I had to do to mend

For week after week I tried my best
Only time, itsself could heal the rest
It was the hardest year I ever had to endure
I never thought that I would go through that, for that im sure

Now a year later, im fully healed
Its a blessing from God when I take the field

It was hard to stay, mentally tough
And even now my life is rough
A pain in my knee when i push off the mound
I pray that I will never hear that sound.

when i take the field i constantly fight
Even though i know, my knee will never be just right
