Within

by Sara   Apr 11, 2006

You'll live for the moment and die for the past. For only one memory will always seem to last. Stuck on one thought. You never knew it could branch out so far. Through space it spins. You're stuck in mid air flying with the stars.
Running out of tears as you drown in your mind you thought that could never be. Smiling when you are in so much pain. You've lost all trace of your sanity. Endless noise poisons your ears. Let the words stop because they are controlling your fears.
The rain fell, slipping through the cracks of my memories. I sat on the wet ground staring out into the night endlessly. I was being soaked but I embraced the rain to wash it all away. Wash all of me feelings. I didn't want to remember a single day.
I just let the wind play its soft melody upon my skin. I was empty inside. There was a wall built within. Too many times I let it blindly fall. The knife stuck hard but there was no scar at all. No hole through my shirt. No scar on my skin, but what you didn't see is what I held within.
