The Jump

The darkness swirls before me
as I close my eyes
I think bout the world I live in
a life that’s filled with lies

a life that’s filled with broken hearts
a life that’s filled with pain
a life that’s never happy
a life with nothing to gain

I stand above every one
I’m standing on the roof
no one’s able to help me...
they were all so aloof

I take a breath and close my eyes
as I jump off my house
I don’t feel a single thing
the rain soaks through my blouse

I hit the ground with a thud
but it doesn’t hurt
I cant move a single bone
I cant even feel the dirt

suddenly I rise above,
and below me I can see,
the cold and lifeless body,
the body that was once me.
