A girl on Extasy

She took the pill
Her body whispered "No"
It had no more strength to scream
As it has screamed so many times before

She was tired and angry
She had a bad day
But as she swallowed the pill
Everything fell into place

The sun began to shine
She felt strong like she could walk a mile
Everything around her seemed perfect
And so her face began to smile

An hour or 2 passed in a blink
And everything was great
But then the sun hid behind the clouds
And everything turned Grey

She once again felt angry and sad
Her life lost its simple logic
And she didn't want to live
As her pill has lost it's magic

Her fragile body began to greatly ache
And with tears her eyes began to fill
Her pain was no longer fake
All she could do was take another pill

She reached into her pocket
She took out her purse
As she found it empty
She felt her life was a curse

Instead she took out a little knife
And so began the screaming
As she cut herself
Her life has lost its long gone meaning
