Take It Back

by manda   Apr 12, 2006

Take back your smiling photos,
The daisies from the park.
The stars that we wished upon,
When the light turned into dark.
Take back all the letters,
The notes we wrote in class.
The green stains on my favourite jeans,
When we fought upon the grass.
Take back all the crystal tears,
The nights I held you in my arms.
The soft talks of the cowardice,
When I promised you'd meet no harm.
Take back the long walks in the night,
The fights over my new pet.
The way you'd say so gently
"Babe,this ain't over yet!"
Take back all the giggles,
Take back all the lies.
Take back all those loving words,
That only made me cry.
Take back the word forever
Take back your long goodbye,
Most of all, I beg you
Take ME back tonight.
