My Say

Back in the day when the world was so sweet,
Full of new people who weren't scary to meet,
I knew nothing of murder, of rape or of shame
And walking outside was nothing short of a game.

They say ignorance is bliss...
But I prefer it like this.

Now I'm old enough to have my say,
Make my choice
I have a voice.
I could save the day,
Pave a new way...
Just by having my say.
