A Ride of Emotions

My emotions today
are on a roller coaster ride
I need to get off
before I skip track and crash.
Yes, I am that fragile
drop me and watch.
No worries though
I have become good
at picking up the pieces
and putting myself
back together
and with time I'm sure
this too will be mended.
I believe your heart is true
to what it feels
but that you don't always
listen to what it is saying
you let the clouds
get in the way
distorting the view.
I take heed to these words myself
and for whatever reason,
it's become a cloudy day
for us both.
Let time pass darlin,
the sun will come back out
and we will feel
how brightly we shine
in one another's heart
once again.
