The Summer Night

by Miranda   Apr 12, 2006

As the waves crash into the sand
and the moonlight stands alone...
I sit here all alone...
Fearing everything when I'm without you...
Nothing is what it is without you...
Hoping you come and take me from this place...
As I lay to rest in the sand...
Letting my tear run down my
face...
Giving it my all to hold back my
tears...
Wanting to yell out into the
night just so you could hear...
That I'm near...
I shut my eyes so I can
see that time flies by...
Knowing that this could be my last night...
As I wait for the arrival of my love...
I sit up to see what there is to come...
As I look out into the distance I see
What has kept me here waiting
all these years...
I run to him...
I feel him catch me into his arms...
as he whispers in my ear...
and tells me "I'm here"
I finally can leave this place...
Without a fear...
This was that one summer night...
