Played and Ashamed

by Sarah Ann   Apr 13, 2006

Dial her number on your phone
Pray to God that I don't know
Leave me there, am I clueless?
Keep your one expectation low

Tell me you're busy, once, twice
Three times, more than enough
I know your games so easily
And I look down in disgust

The jigsaw pieces fit together
Slowly, it's all coming into view
Perfection is merely an illusion,
and I'm ashamed I thought it's true

Great poem - though it would be hard to understand if not for the title . . . other than that - very well written - and I'm sure a lot of people can relate.

    Peace. [Sole]
