Bruised 4 life

by JODIE ROMAN   Apr 13, 2006

Sometimes the best things are different,
Sometimes the same things are the worst.
Before dropping to the floor and crying,
Analyze your situation first.

Can you live without this person?
Will you be able to move on?
If you figure that you can,
Then just turn around and run.

You don't need to be in a place like this,
Where people lie to your face and smile.
Where time passes and all that's familiar to you fades,
Your memories are lost in the trash pile.

There are times when it's best to hide,
To run as far as the eye can see.
But is it really worth going through?
Is this the way you want to be?

He broke your heart; it bled for weeks,
And now you tell me you're okay.
Yet, I doubt that you've healed one bit,
He hurt you and you let him get away.

Do you want a guy like this,
One who will do what he desires,
Leave you crying and bruised for life,
Setting off more carnivorous fires?

Fires that will burn for days destroying all in their path,
That is what he did to you.
Don't believe a guy like this,
His "supposed" love... ISN'T true.
