I heard Jesus say

I heard Jesus say, “Behold I
Stand at the door and I knock”
While most of the world
Keeps their doors locked

“Seek and you will find!”
I heard the Lord say
But so many give up on
Searching every single day

Also again I heard him speak
“Ask and ye shall receive”
But you have not only because
You refuse to believe

People blame God for the
Wrong on this earth
But it’s us, full of sin
Since the time of our birth

Trust the Lord with all your heart
And don’t trust the way that your thinking
No one will be there, except for the Lord
When you find yourself sinking

We want forgiveness
Yet were not willing to forgive
We have no remorse
For the way that we live

“Love one another”
I heard the Lord declare
But love for one another
In this life is rare

I hear the Lord crying, “Come to me
Who are weary and weak”
But self reliance is what
Most people seek

Then on that final day
When you stand face to face
He’ll replay your life
And you’ll hang your head disgraced

For all the times you said NO
And wouldn’t let HIM in
He only wanted to help you and
Save you from your sin

You fall to your knees
And say, “Lord, just one more try!”
I promise that this time YOUR
Name I won’t deny

Sadly the Lord turns HIS head
And says, “You must depart!”
You had so many chances
But you hardened your heart

Thru a grief stricken heart
He watches you go
As you remember the saying
You reap what you sow

So when you hear the Lord
Knocking on your hearts door
Open it up and see what’s in store!!!
