Unkept promises

by michael   Apr 13, 2006

These are the memories of unkempt promises,
i tried to sleep at night knowing that i had caused the fight i promised i would never cause.
i remember how i held you tight i promised i would never let you go, but to day i know that i have unkempt promises.
you used you laugh when I'd get hurt, i would treat you like a piece of dirt. you would fix me when i was broken, i gave you my heart as a token but i took it back i was wrong, i said you didn't love me but you stayed this long. i yelled, an unkempt promise. i swore the day you came to me that together is what we would be but i pushed you away and now I'm alone here today because of unkempt promises
