Imperfections

by Brianna   Apr 13, 2006

We all have our own imperfections,
Each and every one of us.
There's always something that makes us stand out from the rest,
Something that makes us unique.
Something that we're teased for.

We all have something that we don't like,
Something that we hate,
Or something that's flat out embarrassing.
I hate many things about myself,
But what would happen if none of us had imperfections?

How would we act around each other?
What would our interests be?
What would be the fashion?
What would we look like?
Most of all, who would we be?

If there were no imperfections,
We'd all look like plastic Barbie dolls.
Our clothes would be the same,
Our personalities would be the same,
Who would know the difference between us?

You see, the world just can't be perfect.
Everything and everyone would be boring.
We wouldn't have any freedom.
We'd pretty much be robots!
There would be no originality whatsoever.

We need imperfections in this world,
So that there would be more freedom!
We can live life the way we want to now,
But if the world was perfect, we wouldn't be able to.
Our imperfections makes the world interesting!

So my point here is,
Don't hate yourself for your imperfections!
They make you who you are.
You may be teased for them now,
But believe it or not, you can do so much with the imperfections that you have!

You were made the way you are for a reason,
So be proud of who you are!
Show your imperfections off to everyone,
So they'll know that you don't care what they think.
When you accept your imperfections,
You'll be happier with who you are.
