My beloved dog

My beloved Dog is now gone
For me to never see
She was my favorite dog of all
She meant so much to me

No more walks along the road
No more playing catch
Of all the times we played ball
She never failed to fetch

Always bringing it back to me
With an eager face
Over the coach I'd throw the ball
And she'd always go and chase

Of all the days we played ball
I never gave it a thought
I figures we'd be together forever
Because I loved her a lot

I took our time for granted
I was so mean to her
Now all I have to remember her by
Is just a peice of fur

I didn't say good-bye
I was just way too sad
So I watched out the window
Crying and mad

I wish I could see her again
To tell her how I feel...
That she was my favorite dog
And my love for her was real

Now she's gone forever
And my heart needs to mend
What hurts me the most is that
I lost my best friend
