Empathy

Many people don't know what you're going through,
Many people don't understand your pain,
Many people cannot survive in your shoes,
Many people would probably go insane.

All these emotions boiled up inside,
All this agony that's not going away,
All these tears that you have cried,
All this misery that demands to stay.

It's true that you try your best,
to keep it all under your watchful eyes,
but not everyone can pass the test,
and so to the world, you say goodbye.

Though these thoughts run through your mind,
Though you think that for you, there's no love,
There will always be someone who is kind,
There will always be the Father, up above.

Although I can see through your eyes,
Although I can feel your pain,
Although I can help you forget all those lies,
Happiness, I cannot help you gain.

But through empathy, I can give you hope,
Through empathy, I can do my best,
Through empathy, I can toss you a rope,
Through empathy, I can help get problems off your chest.

As long as you believe in who you are,
As long as you have hope from close friends,
I'm sure that you are able to go far,
And you can bear with living on until the end.
