That made my heart melt?

And the time you pulled me into the pool
Having the fun that I'd later miss?

Our very first date?
The day we were most happy
Thinking our meeting was fate?

Watching the sunset side-by-side
Promising to love each other forever?

When we first had a fight?
Almost ended up breaking up
We argued through the night.

That snowy winter night?
Us standing in the park together
Everything so right?

When our families tore us apart?
They wouldn't allow our relationship
Or for us to follow our hearts.

When society wouldn't accept us?
We attempted secretly seeing each other
But we soon found it useless?

The promise that we made?
About always loving each other
No matter how many memories fade?

How we swore we'd never grow apart?
That no matter what happened
We'd stay true to our heart?

When you were told you'd be going to war?
The day came soon, and you were gone
Disappeared out the door

All the things we went through?
And the first time we said to each other
"I love you?"

The last words that were exchanged?
They were, maybe, our last good-byes
And then our lives were changed

The moment we first saw each other?
We both got the feeling
That we were meant to be together.
And who would've known
It would come down to this
You being shipped out to war
