In Heaven

by Eman D   Feb 4, 2004

My sister picks up the phone.
My mom answers with a sad tone.
On the other line she is crying.
She says my grandfather isn't doing to well and is dying

I go to bed trying not to shed a tear.
My grandpa dying is my worst fear.
I cry myself to sleep.
I can\'t sleep not even a peep.

I go to school unable to think.
If you die will my heart sink?
I hope you have survived.
The doctors says you just need to be revived.

I pray and pray.
I remember all the funny things you would say.
I finally get home.
I remember in your car we would roam.

I see my mother with her hands on her face.
My grandmother prays "Hail Mary full of grace".
I will never forget what my mother said.
She told me,"Your grandfather is dead".
