Alison, you will always be with me

by Noam Alexander   Apr 14, 2006

When we were together we were two birds in a tree
If someone saw a picture they'd say that's how life should be
You could make the world brighter when you smiled through your teeth
And how I'd give the Lord anything if you were still here with me

There is a hole that's left inside me and every night it bleeds
As I kneel beside your name I realize all you mean to me
And there are so many things that I wish you could see
But I guess I'll just hold on to all our sweet memories

Do you remember when we made love underneath the willow tree?
It's where we shared our first kiss and my heart it skipped a beat
We vowed we'd stick together and fight through all the tides in the sea
I promised you my heart and it's a promise I will keep

My head is in a daze and my life is stuck in a dream
The world just spins around, but I can't break this grief
I still don't understand why it was you instead of me
I'd give this world my life if I could just hear you breathe

You know everything times three is what you are to me
And if you see Saint Peter, have him save a place for me
Underneath a willow tree just like the way it used to be
We'll sit alone together singing softly in eternal harmony
