The Venom of Deceit

by mookoo   Apr 15, 2006

Words flourish in the venom of deceit,
Lies roll off swift tongues like water trickles,
In sweet hate-filled tears, romance does deplete,
When their attachment becomes love fickle,

But at what cost do they dwindle their honesty,
In their self-absorbed vanity hurt runs free,
Shrouding visions of physical beauty,
Cast biased views between both he and she,

In brash actions stream tears in agony,
Down soft cheeks of youth in uncertainty,
Where heart lies in your eyes in flattery,
Dire response to this lack of humility,

In the tear-stained pages of her diary,
Truth of this venom and prospects weary.
