I cant be myself

Hah,
Everyone says be your self.
Well in the beginning of the year i wasn't myself.
Well as the year progressed.
I started to be come myself
Well i guess everyone didn't like who i really was.
Everyone got mad at me.
I took my mask off for the first time.
To show people that all i was doing was playing pretend.
Well i guess i need to play pretend for ever.
Cause no one liked who i was.
Everyone said you've changed,
I hate you
Why can't you go back the way you where.
What happened to you.
So i put the mask back on.
And i have hide my real self from everyone
yeah they say be yourself.
because the people that care wont mind.
Well the people that i cared about.
and that cared about me
got mad at me
and stopped caring for me
They all left me
So i keep the mask on
And i have no troubles
So you might say be yourself
well it doesn't work in this world
you do have to act different to fit in.
and to have people care about you
I can never be myself again.
