This poem is for my friend keva, because she has been having some tough times with a guy and with some of her friends.. and i thought she needed some encouragement :)

dear friend i know you're hurting
very deep inside
and i know that when he left you
it seemed like part of you died

i know some people treat you
like you have no feelings at all
and they just point at you and laugh every time you trip and fall

i know things may seem
like they are only getting worse
and this world may seem so hopeless; it may make you scream and curse

i know at times you are probably sick of this hell that you call life
it may seem like too much,
and you may want to use the knife

whenever you feel alone,
when it seems like there is nobody
just remember this my friend;
you will always have me

i know what pain is
and i know what your going through
and look, thing worked out for me;
they could work out for you

maybe some day he will realize
what he threw away
but you have to keep holding on,
keep pushing toward that day

if ever you are weighed down,
if the burden is too much to bear
i will help to move you along,
i will help you make it there

and even though it's hard
just remember this my friend;
there are tons of guys out there
that are so much better than him

someday you will find a guy
who will make your heart brand new
but until mr. perfect comes,
i will always be here for you :)
