Though we say to each other the friendship code
I trusted those words
Believing they were true
You talk the talk and then walked away

Those times that we enjoyed the time together
As far as I know I did, did you
Laughter was something we created
Memories that we could look back on

Why did you post this wall around you
To keep everyone out, even me
Was risk something that you never knew
Or was it to much

What I thought was there
Was never there
Now it seems as though we have parted
we are together yet so distanced
