Cheers to a Broken Heart

by Dark Kitten   Apr 16, 2006

Thoughts.......Feelings......Disorder
A world of broken memories
Hurt beyond belief
Living in a constant re-run
Told that I was the filth of the world
That I was scum
I can change but no one else will
They care nothing of what happens to me
Allies to each other
I am enemy
So here I sit in a day dream
Crying but no one can hear
The rain pounds against the walls that surround
The source of comfort goes unnoticed
As blood spills from a broken heart
Alone am I the blue robin
Maybe if I slice into my skin
It shall end my total misery
Pain and passion mold as one
Cut......Slash......Deep....Deeper
I end it all on my bathroom floor
A note
Written, sealed, with blood
My blood
My unnoticed love
My passion
On the drying red, pink, and white paper
Read words from my heart
Held with a glass of wine
Cheers to the love I have
For a family who never noticed
Cheers to the bullies
For the apple does not fall far from the tree
Cheers to my lonely heart
Hope my true father forgives me
Cheers to the truth
As it will be learned in time
The words upon my little note
Is it wrong to day dream?

I could really relate to this poem. Again, I think it would have suited an actual structure, but I still think it was excellently written.
