Emotion sickness

Why have emotions
When all they cause is pain?
Make you fall apart inside
Rip you in to shreds
Until there is nothing left.
They are like a virus
A sickness without a cure,
Striking you down without warning,
Executing your mind
And destroying your life
Plunging you into darkness
And trapping you in pain,
An unstoppable virus
Preying upon all
Attacking at times of weakness
And filling your mind with lies.
We all suffer for this sickness
Emotions unstoppable illness
Striking more down with each passing day,
No one is immune
No matter what you may think
One day it will get you
Grab you in it’s fiery embrace
No matter how you struggle
Or how you run
One day it will catch you
Plunge you into its depths
Emotion will run over you
And cause pain deep inside.
Emotion sickness is spreading
Speeding across the world
All will fall to it
One by one
Day by day
Until all are gone.
