Beautiful Lost Soul

Jet Black Hair
Pale Blue Eyes
Snow White Skin
Light Red Lips
is the image she sees
when she glances into the mirror

Wretched Wilting Heart
Vacant Black Soul
is the person she sees
when she peers deep inside

So beautiful,
yet lost in her own twisted mind
continually allowing her beauty
to blind unknowing eyes

Fake Gleaming Smile
Falling Tears of Denial
Lips Speaking Feeble Lies
Sad Weary Truthful Eyes

So Lost,
that all her dreams are full of empty passageways
even when she can't sleep at night
her dreams reflect her empty life
wondering through a place unknown
unfamiliar to her beautiful stride

Deep Dark Red
Black as Night
the butterfly has left
as her body lay lifeless on the bed
her undying beauty now turned to fright

No longer is she lost
no longer does her vanity fool
she rests so beautiful in her dress of crimson red
so free, now that her lost soul is dead

no one ever looked beyond,
to reveal her only flaw
